We had a wonderful time with our Hospitality Tent at the recent Ice Fishing Derby.
We served free food and beverages to over 50 people throughout the weekend.
40 people stayed and listened to our guest speaker-a Licensed FL Alligator Trapper & evangelist. We gave away great door prizes complements of local businesses and distributed almost 30 goodie bags filled with literature, church information, & the Gospel Fly kit.
One of our volunteers walked the entire frozen lake and visited with over 75 fishermen and shared his testimony with about 40.
One of the greatest witnessing tools we had this year was the Gospel Fly.
An actual fishing fly with the gospel colors. We had a great group of mission volunteers from the Set Free Church in Riverton, WY, convention staff, and the youth group from our sister church in Rawlins, WY who provided children's activities during the day. We had 4 children participate and each won great prizes.
Sunday brought 12 fishermen families, Set Free led the song service and our speaker brought the message.
About 12 people indicated a decision for Christ over the weekend. We will attempt to follow up with them. All were from out of town, so pray that they will connect with a church home if they don't have one.
Thank you to all who made this outreach a success and blessing for those at the Ice Fishing Derby.

We had a great time being involved in National Night Out last night. It's a national program where local police departments organize a community block party to promote safety and prevention in the community. Our church had a game booth of drowning Gatorade victims, participants tossed life preservers to win a Gatorade.
We also distributed 50 free prevention literature bags. It was a huge success and the entire event brought out over 200 people from the Platte Valley area.
